My First Blogger Award!

I know this is probably not a big deal to many people, but I was so touched yesterday to learn that the fabulous Brittany over at Torts and a Tiara gave me the stylish blogger award.  I absolutely LOVE doing this blog, and if I could make it my one and only job, I totally would!! So it makes me really happy to know that other people are enjoying it as much as I am.  Thanks again, Brittany!

This is the hard part, figuring out 7 facts to tell y'all about myself. But I'll give it a whirl!


7 Facts about Moi:

1. I majored in Apparel Studies in College, and wish I would have done something more with that.  Like open a clothing store.  There's still time for that, I guess. :)

2. I am a little obsessive compulsive about things.  I will leave my house and come back in literally at least 2 or 3 times just to make sure I turned off the the iron, curling iron, etc.  I am so afraid I am going to burn the house down! This is usually why I am late to work in the mornings. (another reason I should work from home.)

3. I secretly wish for snow days so I can sleep in, lay on the couch and read or catch up on my DVR. Since I don't have to make up "snow days", I don't care how many we have. ;)

4. I rarely watch "live" TV anymore. On any given night I have about 5 shows to catch up on.  When I have to watch a show at it's real time, I hate it! So many commercials. I have gotten spoiled with being able to fast-forward through all that crap!

5. I am the first born child, grandchild, niece AND girl on my moms side of the family. So to say I am a little spoiled is an understatement.  I have been the "favorite" (I know my sister and cousins will disagree on that one) forever, and I sometimes use that to my advantage. :)

6. I would love to be able to live somewhere with lots of land so I could rescue dogs who are about to be put down.  It breaks my heart to know that some sweet, innocent dog has no home and is going to be killed because their mother or fathers owner wasn't responsible enough to get them spayed or neutered! Both my dogs were rescued, and I think that is such a great thing to do.

7. I could eat my weight in Root Beer Jelly Beans.  I think I am the only person I know that likes these little bits of heaven! I used to get these by the pound when I was in High School.  The Hubby still gets them for me every once in a while. I have to limit myself, or else I would turn into one giant jelly belly! ;)
