It's March! Can you believe that? It feels like we just celebrated the New Year! I guess time flies when you're having fun! With March comes the beginning of some spring like weather and I thought I would get a jump on the nail polish trends for Spring. You all know by now that I have a HUGE obsession with nail polishes, and mani/pedis. While I am more of a dark color lover, I do have several spring colors that I am going to try out this season. The trends in nail polish for Spring are rich and creamy pastels, metallic grays, and sleek nudes. Which I think will suit just about everyones color preference and style. Some of these are my spring staples, and others are some that I want to try out. I also bought Sally Hansen's "Salon Effects" nail polish "stickers last week and gave those a try. See the end of this post for my review on them.
Turquoise & Caicos
I picked up this color at Wal-Mart (yes, Essie is not in Wal-Mart, at least up here) and am really excited to try it. As you can tell by the color scheme of my blog, I love turquoise and Tiffany blue hues. So I am really excited to see what this colors looks like on.
Jolene
This is a fairly new brand for me. I have seen it advertised in magazines for a while, but haven't tried it yet. This pink is a perfect shade for spring.
Rumples Wiggin'
You may remember I mentioned this polish in a previous post. I love this color! It's a great change from your light pink colors. If you get a chance, please try this color. You won't regret it.
Orgasm
I have used the lip gloss and blush in this color for years. And I just recently decided that I need to try the nail polish. From what I have seen, it looks just like the color in the bottle. It has a subtle shimmer to it and is very understated. This would be a great color for work, if you are allowed to wear the brighter nail polishes. I can't wait to try this.
Black Pearl
This may seem like a dark color for spring, but with the metallic and pearl like effect, its perfect to pair with your bright colors this season.
Naked
I have tried Deborah Lippmann's polishes before and have really liked them. This is a great color if you don't want your manicure to clash with your clothes. And it's great for a pedicure too, so you can change up your manicure polish more often without clashing with your pedicure.
**I tried the Sally Hansen "Salon Effects" nail polish stickers Saturday morning, and it was not for me. I think once my nails get stronger and grow out a little, these could work. They are a bit meticulous and time consuming and I am not very patient when it comes to things like that. So I took them off and went and got a manicure instead. I am going to try them at least once more to make a final decision. If you have long nail beds and strong nails, these will work great for you.
You are going to love Zoya... it is the longest lasting polish I've ever tried. By far.
ReplyDeleteAnd Naked is fab too... such a perfect neutral color!
