Winter Weather Must-Haves

So the weather is forecasting some snow flurries for NYC tomorrow! WHAT??? I'm not ready! I'm not ready! I still have a few winter weather items that need to be in my possession before the snow comes. Luckily, I don't think it's going to be anything major, so I still have some time to finish getting all my accessories together. Here are some things that I plan to add to my wardrobe before the real east coast weather hits. Happy Friday! Have a fabulous weekend! I plan on having a great one, rain, snow, or shine! xo

I walk to and from work everyday (I tell myself it's my much needed cardio), so when the weather gets nasty these will be perfect for my "commute." They are a cross between rain boots and Uggs. My feet will be nice and warm and I won't have to worry about the rain and snow ruining my favorite shoes. These are the perfect boot for winter weather. I am a little too excited to get these in the mail! They come in Red,Grey, Black, & Tan.

The wind in NYC is something fierce! It isn't even that cold yet, but the wind will literally drop them temp a good 10 degrees! The first thing that usually starts to freeze on my body once I am out in the cold is my ears. So earmuffs are a must have on my list this winter. And how cute are the faux fur ones from dkny? I won't have to worry about my ears freezing off!

I am one of those people who is never without gloves in the winter. I HATE for my hands to be cold. I love these! One because they are leopard! And the second is because they are multi-functional. If you are one of those people who needs to have access to your phone, you can flip back the mitten part and type away.

I am starting to create a pretty large scarf collection. They are perfect for adding just a little something to your outfit, while also serving a purpose. I am loving the infinity scarf or snood, and this one from Zara is my favorite so far! The color is amazing, and its nice and thick so you won't have to worry about freezing while out and about this winter.

It will be here before you know it, so start getting your list together and buying your necessities now.

Thrifty Thursday

It's almost the weekend!!! WOOOO! I don't know about you guys, but I am really looking forward to it! But before we get to the weekend, I wanted to show you guys some fabulous buys that won't break the bank. These really are too good to pass up!!

How cute would these be with tights and booties! The best part is they are $50!

This top would be perfect with colored skinny jeans. It's the perfect "go-to" top you can wear alone or layer. $23

These are a great update to your everyday flats. If you have enough animal print to start your own zoo (guilty), grab some in this fun snakeskin print. $36

I am obsessed with sweaters! How cute is this H&M dress? It's perfect with tall boots and a great warm scarf. You can even belt it for a more structured look. And for $20, how can you resist???

You will get a lust list from designers or stores I adore. And I thought it would be fitting that I start with the always gorgeous, and ever fabulous, Elie Tahari.

Good Morning, Lovelies! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! I was a great weekend in NYC! The weather was perfect and I actually got some things checked off my to-do list Saturday! I love the feeling of accomplishment! Here's to a great week and even greater fashion finds! xo

One night after work last week, I headed to the Skylight Soho for The Huffington Post and AOL's 100 Game Changers Awards. It was a tribute to 100 people who are making a difference in areas such as Media, Business, Education, and Politics. It was a great evening and a great way to recognize people making a difference. Saved By Fashion's BLOGIVERSARY!!!

I am not sure if that's even a word, but I am going with it! Tomorrow marks the 1 year mark for Saved by Fashion. I can't believe this little baby is a year old! I seems like just a few months ago I started pouring out my love for fashion to the world. So much has happened in my life over the past year, and I honestly think having this little blog has been such a great outlet for me. It's ultimately what made the idea to move to New York a reality. It's also place I can indulge in the most extravagant and most frugal parts of the fashion industry. I get to share my crazy obsessions and must-haves on a weekly and some times daily basis. Thank you, lovelies, for all your support and for coming back day after day to read about things I love and am passionate about. I promise to continue to rant and rave and give you all as much fashion advice and info as I possibly can. So here's to many more years or blogging, and to all my family, friends, and new friends I have met through this journey. I couldn't have done it without you! Have a fabulous weekend!! xo

Pinspiration

I haven't done a "Pinspiration" post in a while, so I thought I would let you all in on a few things that have caught my eye on Pinterst lately. I need to warn you all that you are going to see a lot of leopard, sparkle, and cobalt blue in my posts. I am currently obsessing over these three things, and cannot get enough of them!

J. Crew Favorites

I had never been much of a fan of J. Crew (gasp!) That was until Jenna Lyons took over as creative director.  Since then, I have actually started looking to this fashion company for trends, and staples I can add to my closet. Below are some of my favorites that are in store or on their website right now. I am in the process of transitioning my wardrobe into more "Grown-up" pieces, and J. Crew can easily help make this transition for me.

Wide Leg Trousers

Wool Metro Coat

 Pave Link Bracelet

Edie Purse

Leopard Blouse

Heeled Loafer

Sequin Skirt

I WON a Tinsley Mortimer for Samantha Thavasa Clutch!

First off, Happy Happy Friday!!! We made it! It's the weekend, baby! I don't know about you, but I am ready for a few days off. I have jumped into my new job and am busy, but that's exactly what I wanted! I am loving it so far and am very lucky to have landed such a great opportunity.

So several weeks ago, when I attended FNO at the Madison Avenue Samantha Thavasa store, I entered to win a Tinsley Mortimer for Samantha Thavasa clutch. We had no idea which bag we were registering for but I knew no matter which bag they were giving away, it would be fabulous. And I was right! The very next day, I got a phone from the sweet ladies at the store telling me that I had won! ME!! We all know that my biggest obsession in life is handbags! So you can imagine my surprise and excitement when I found out I WON one! With my shoestring budget as of late, it was great to add a fabulous new bag to my collection without having to skip dinner for a few nights. The pics don't do it justice! It is the Palm Beach clutch, and has perforated leather in a rich yummy yellow. Yellow is one of my absolute favorite colors, so I will get plenty of use out of this bag. Thanks to the ladies at the ST store and Tinsley for hosting such a fabulous FNO event. I hope to see you all again next time. xo

Have a Great Weekend! I plan on getting out and enjoying the fabulous weather and watching the Hogs whip up on Auburn!! WOO PIG SOOIE
