Rafael Cennamo - Fall 2012 NYFW

It's Wednesday!!! I am so looking forward to the weekend!! I am ready to relax and catch up on sleep! My mother got in town last thursday and we had a whirlwind of a weekend. Shopping, eating, catch a broadway play, and lots of catching up. I hated to see her leave Monday! So now it's back to the blog posts. There are a few left from Fashion week, and some other fun ones on store. xo

Dark and Edgy are two words that came to my mind when I saw Rafael Cannamo's presentation. It was glamorous and feminine as well as adding a little darkness to the mix. Head on over to I Heart Heels to get the full spectrum of these gorgeous dresses!!!

IFB Conference

Whew, I have been one busy girl this past week. Fashion Week sure takes a lot out of you (not complaining one bit!) Last Wednesday I had the fabulous opportunity to attend the IFB (Independent Fashion Bloggers) Conference at Milk Studios here in New York City. And boy and I glad I went. I was able to hear from some fabulous bloggers as well as Fashion and Social Media Pioneers. From @DKNY PR Girl to Tom and Lorenzo (who I met at a show last week and are the nicest guys you will ever meet), there was no shortage of advice and how to for bloggers like myself. I met some great new friends and some I have "known" for a while (via twitter), but was just able to meet in person. If you aren't on twitter and are a blogger or doing anything in fashion or a creative industry, I HIGHLY suggest checking it out. I have met so many great people and have gotten such great advice and support through it that I honestly don't know what I would do without it! I definitely have some great ideas on how to take my blog to the next level and some ideas for blog posts as well. If you get the chance to attend any conference in something you are passionate about and love, DO IT! I am inspired and rearing to go!! xo

Tinsley Mortimer for Samantha Thavasa

It's Wednesday, and I am heading out the door to the IFB Bloggers conference, which I will post about later this week. But before I leave, I wanted to give you all another look at some fabulous bags!

If you all remember, I attended a party at Samantha Thavasa's Madison avenue store during Fashions Night Out last September to kick off Fashion Week. (I also won a gorgeous yellow clutch from them too!) Well, the fabulous ladies over  at ST (And I do mean fabulous. I could sit and talk to them for hours!), emailed me a few weeks ago to let me know that Tinsley's new collection was in the store, EEEEEK!! Y'all, these bags are to die for! I love every one of them, and can't decide which one needs to come home with me. So I thought I would let you all help me decide. They are only in the store as of right now, but you can call the sweet ladies at the Madison Ave. store and I know they will be delighted to help get one of the fabulous bags to your doorstep!

Lately. . .

If you don't follow me on Instagram, and by the way, I would love it if you did, I have added a few pics from there with a few others of what I have been up to lately.

My new Sorel Boots I was about to test out a couple weekends ago when we had our first snow. LOVE these!

Getting much needed color to my horrific roots at Arrojo Salon.

Stopping for a little treat at Laduree'. Macaron's are by far my favorite little treat.

Spent an afternoon wandering Chinatown, East Village, and the Lower East Side . This was a fish market in Chinatown.

Date night with the boy at Tapeo 29 in LES. Def a new favorite of mine. Who doesn't like Tapas and Sangria?!!

Day trip to Connecticut. This was my view from the train at 7am. We are definitely going to take more trips like this! It's so fun to get out of the city and explore New England.

On Talcott Mountain overlooking the CT countryside. It's amazing that you can feel at home with just a two hour train ride. Definitely made me miss the Ozarks just a little bit more.

Oysters for lunch. Yes, that's right, someone has converted me to a seafood eater! Who would have ever thought I would be eating Oysters?

Have a great Tuesday, see you Lovelies tomorrow! xo

Back on the train, gang!

Good Morning, Lovelies!! Happy Monday!! I have been MIA for a bit, and I feel terrible about it!! I have been one busy girl with work, meeting new and old friends, and venturing out of the city for a little visit to the Connecticut countryside. But I am back and ready to give you all some great fashion finds, tips and of course things I am obsessing over. I am helping to cover Fashion Week again this season, and could not be happier about it. I am getting to go back to some of the shows I attended in September, and some new ones as well. There's an awards show, store opening and jewelry launch that I will be going to as well. So make sure to come back later next week and the following week to hear about all the fab trends and finds for next fall!!
