Beach Bound

Happy Friday, Lovelies!!! In just 24 short hours (hopefully they go by quickly),  I will be on my way to Florida to spend a week at the beach with my family. I am so looking forward to "getting away" from technology, work, the crazy fast paced city life, and relax with my most favorite people.

Packing for the beach can sometimes be tricky. Most of us over pack and usually end up in our swimsuits or cover ups most of the time. But you never know when you just might get out of the house and grab dinner or go explore the town. Here are a few suggestions for what to pack. These are my most favorite things as of late, and are prefect for a lazy, sun-filled week soaking up some much needed Vitamin D. Have a great week. I might try and blog once or twice, but I make no promises. I plan to finish reading some books and just escape reality for a while. xo

Hello Kitty for Hanky Panky

What girl doesn't love Hello Kitty, flirty lingerie, and makeup? AND what girl wouldn't love a party where she could divulge in all three?? Well girlie's, that's just what I did Wednesday night thanks to I Heart Heels. Hanky Panky has partnered with Hello Kitty and they've come out with a collection of fun and flirty lingerie with the ever famous kitty kat printed on them.

The collection features lace thongs and boyshorts adorned with crystal Hello Kitties, and a bralette and panty set covered in a Kitty print (which is my absolute fave) and lace nighty's. The pricing ranges from $27 to $98 and will be available on hankypanky.com and sanrio.com on May 25.

The party was held in an old warehouse over looking the Hudson. DJ India Jewel Jackson was spinning fun, upbeat music, which only made the mood that much more fun! Specialty cocktails like the Hello Kitty Tini and the Hello Mojito were served as guests mingled and took in the scenery. Hello Kitty was there to take pictures with guests if they were so inclined. And who wouldn't want a picture with this fabulous lady? Sephora was there with the new makeup collection they have with HK that has just launched for spring/summer. Guests were treated to mini makeovers as well. One of the most fun things I have seen in a long time was the "flip book" video wall. They had several Hello Kitty products set out on a table and you could choose which ones you wanted to use. Once you had your product, you stood in front of a screen and made a 10 second video, which they then turned into a flip book! How cute is that???? This would be such a fun update to a photo booth, right?

To say that my love for Hello Kitty has been renewed, would be an understatement. I have been a HUGE fan of Hanky Panky for years, and this collaboration is genius if you ask me. So if you are looking for a few updates to your lingerie collection, Hello Kitty for Hanky Panky would be the perfect addition!

Coye Nokes - Must Have Shoes

Since I've joined the corporate world, I am always on the lookout for great shoes that I can wear to work, but can also wear outside of the office. Something that's business, but also has a little sex appeal too. Ladies, let me introduce you to Coye Nokes.  To say that I am obsessed with her shoes, would be an understatement. First of all, she is the cutest little ball of energy this side of the Mississippi! I had the opportunity courtesy of I Heart Heels, to meet with her in her Chelsea Showroom and had so much fun chatting with her and her staff on her newest collection. I even tried on a few pairs, and came home with a fabulous nude peep toe that I can't stop wearing. Patent Leather pumps, flats, and wedges were some of the staples in her Spring collection. Some of her shoes this season were inspired by Cleopatra. The green satin sandal with gold hardware was one of them, and it looks stunning on! If you need a fun dancing shoe, or maybe have a wedding coming up, her glitter heels would be perfect! They come in Black, Gold or Silver and I am swooning over every color!! She is definitely a go-to in my book. Her shoes are not only gorgeous, they are comfortable too! I am on my feet all day and I can wear these without a problem! Coye is a name you should keep in mind when looking for shoes that will make your feet sing and people stare with envy!

QVC - My One Stop Shop

Hello Lovelies!! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. Mine was spent catching up with friends, relaxing in Central Park and working on my tan, and packing for my upcoming beach vacay! I am counting down the days until I leave Saturday! Haven't seen a beach in 4 years! So I am over the moon to have a week away with my family!

Now to the real reason for this post today, QVC. I have been a fan of QVC for years will gladly admit that I have ordered numerous things from them in the past. I know that no matter what I order from them, its going to be exactly what they say it is, the quality is impeccable, and most of all, its easy on the wallet. I had the opportunity a few weeks ago to check out some of the items they have on their site now, and couldn't wait to get home and see what other fabulous gadgets, beauty products or jewelry I needed to add to own.  Below are some of my favorites. So check them out and then get over to QVC and pick them up!  You know you'll regret it if you don't!!!

Poshmark! Join the FUN!!!

Poshmark held its first ever East Coast event a few weeks ago at the    Hotel and it was a great way to get to know the people at Poshmark, what their business is all about and get to mingle with some fabulous bloggers as well as other fashion industry favorites.

Jessie from Style and Pepper, Christine from Court and Hudson, Caroline from Caroline in the City, Christina from Profresh Style, Bonnie from Flashes of Style, and Laura from On the Racks were our hosts for the evening. And let me tell you, these ladies are so sweet and down to earth. Plus they always have some great finds in their Poshmark closets!

The Fabulous Hosts!

Ok, so let discuss Poshmark, shall we?
How cool would it be to shop from your friends closets any time of day? Even your besties that live miles and miles away? Things they don't want to wear anymore, but you could so rock in a totally different way? Let me introduce you to a new iPhone app (their website will launch soon), Poshmark. It's a FABULOUS new app that lets fashionstas put items they no longer have room to keep in their ever growing closets, up for sale. You take pictures of what you are selling and add them to your "closet" on the postmark app. You can just upload a picture of the item or you can make it your own little fashion show, with action pictures showing people how your wore the certain item and what event it would look great going to. Another fun option Postmark offers are "Posh Parties." These are real time shopping events on the Poshmark app where fashion lovers can sell, browse, and buy clothing, shoes and accessories. Each party they have has a theme, so it makes it easier to cull that over-stuffed closet of yours because you can do it one area at a time! Talk about taking the stress out of spring cleaning! Another plus for this app, they go through several steps to make sure you are who you say you are and aren't an automated seller. On some well known websites, it's really hard to know exactly what you are getting and if its real or now. With postmark, you don't have to worry about that, the only thing you have to worry about is whether you can fit all this new stuff into your closet! Decisions, decisions! Download the Postmark app from the Apple iTunes store and get to shopping, selling, or just browsing all the fabulous items you just might have to add to your own closet.

LOFT's Fall Collection

Happy Friday, Lovelies!!! Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, but most importantly (for me and my family, anyway) it's the Running of the Roses, THE KENTUCKY DERBY! I cry every time they play "My Old Kentucky Home" right before the race. It brings back so many good memories of visiting family in the summers and getting to live there for a few years and experiences the Bluegrass State as a resident! So if you get a chance, tune in tomorrow to check out the running of some gorgeous ponies! :)

Last week I had the opportunity to check out LOFT's Fall Collection, and you definitely want to check this out!

I know we're all ready for summer to get here, but I HAVE to show you what LOFT has in store for fall! I had the opportunity last Wednesday to head to their New York showroom and check out all the fabulous fall looks. And girlie's, you'll not be let down. Now that I'm working in the“corporate world,” I've started paying more attention to career/work style labels. LOFT (and Ann Taylor) are my “go-to” brands and with the pictures here, you'll see why. They have this amazing way of creating on-trend looks that are still work appropriate and also add some style and color. And who doesn’t love that? These looks are perfect for transitioning from day to night, as well as working into your casual weekend attire, too! I mean, seriously, LOFT has every type of woman and every type of outing or event covered. And what makes them even more irresistible? The price! These clothes are so well made and so affordable.

Ok, so let’s get to the fall collection, shall we? There were so many amazing looks; I didn’t know where to begin! Stripes, animal, and bright prints were prevalent in this collection. Which only means one thing! Mixing and matching is back and better than ever! Shift dresses, as well as feminine pencil skirts should also be on that fall "must-have" list. My favorite look was the striped coat paired with animal-print knit and a red skirt, I mean, seriously! Tonal looks are also making a comeback for fall, so don’t be scared to pair garments in the same color family together.

And as far as shoes go, LOFT went all out! Taking something from previous seasons and freshening it up a bit is always a good idea. And these gorgeous LOFT options should be on everyone’s list, and I mean everyone. That’s the great thing about LOFT; any woman of any age can wear this brand. I mean, what fabulous mom wouldn’t want a pair of patent cap-toe leopard heels? Or what young career girl wouldn’t like a new take on blue suede shoes with the turquoise option? I know the first place I will be once fall clothes start hitting the stores (and that’s as soon as late June, ladies.) Will you be joining me?

JC Penney Finds

I usually splurge on bags, so I am always on the hunt for cute, well made, yet inexpensive clothes. Most of the time, I strike out, but there are times when I find a few diamonds in the rough. Last week I happened upon an ad for JC Penney that had an adorable maxi skirt. And of course, I had to get home and look it up. Not only did I find that skirt, but I found a few other lovelies I thought I would share. JC Penney does have some really trendy and cute clothes. You just have to remember to check them out (making mental note now!)

Fun Dresses on the CHEAP!

Happy May 1st! This means two things! Summer is just that much closer, AND my Birthday is just 3 weeks away (and so is my week at the beach)! So all this has fueled my necessity to purchase dresses for summer. If you know me, you know I spend most of the summer months in maxi dresses. I seriously could wear one just about everyday. With my new fancier job, I don't have the luxury of wearing maxi's and sandals to work. So I have had to find dresses that could work on the weekends as well as the work week. Below are some STEALS (seriously, all are under $100) I purchased from Piperlime that I just HAD to share with you lovelies!

All of these I plan to pair with a cardigan and some closed toe shoes for the office. For the weekends, it's strappy sandals or fun flats.

As you can see, I am becoming a HUGE fan of the "Mullet" dress/skirt. I think they are so fun and can instantly take a look from casual to dressy with the right shoes and accessories.
