Scent Story

Like handbags, each season I like to purchase a new perfume.  It's funny how certain scents can bring back so many memories.  And what better way to remember each season than with a new intoxicating scent.  I have narrowed my choices down to the ones below. and am torn on which to purchase! Am I missing any other options? Any thoughts or opinions are happily welcomed!

Lust List: J. Crew

If I had a money tree in my backyard (ie, out my window), all these gorgeous clothes would be on there way to my closet as we speak! Sadly, I only have a birds nest outside my window, so I will just have to dream about how I would style the below new arrivals from J. Crew.  I did purchase the camel sweater and blue skirt. You know my love for cobalt, and how could I resist a fun neutral sweater?!

Lately . . .

Hey there, Lovelies! Happy Friday! I am really excited for this weekend to finally be here.  My parents are in town visiting, and I cannot wait to spend time with them! We are going to a Yankees game, going to Jersey to watch the Hogs play Rutgers, squeeze in a little shopping, and going to eat at a few new places I have been wanting to try.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend as well. xx

All Saints - SS14

If I could outfit my closet in one brand - hands down, All Saints would be a top contender; if not at the top of my list! Gosh, I just LOVE every single piece they make.  And I mean that literally! You just don't see that many brands who have exquisitely well made clothing, with top of the line fabrics and materials, but still at a price point that is for the most part, reasonable.  I get giddy every time I get to peek at their latest collection, because I just know they are going to blow me out of the water with what they've created.

Inspiration for this collection was "Flora Mortis," when you entered the space, you were greeted by a large flower arrangement, with another one at the other end of the loft, both were weeks old and dying.  An artist was on hand each day to draw the arrangement and its dying process.  You could see in his drawings how the flowers slowly faded from full of life to dark and dreary.  Beedle (Creative Director for All Saints), said he "wanted to reverse the typical iconography of decay to express a message of hope and regeneration, of positivity and rebirth, and the reversal of that momentum."

Black, nude, camel and cream made up the color palette, as well as an added punch of color with a vibrant red as seen on the trousers below.  Accessories were chunky with metal chain detailing - giving the collection some what of an edge, but still keeping it feminine.

Alice and Olivia: SS14 Presentation

I look forward to the A+O presentation every season.  Stacey is just one of those designers that outdoes her self with every collection.  This season was no different.  With the underlying tone of the collection being "at a crossroads of prep-meets-pretty," Stacey created this idea of an American Girl who's carefree with a twist of romance.  From beaded blazer paired with ripped boyfriend jeans to a geometric maxi skirt paired with a crisp white polo - Pretty meets preppy is going to rule for Spring.  Lots of whites and neutrals throughout, mixed with pops of pastels.  Spring can't get here fast enough!

We can't forget the Accessories! A+O has added more bags and shoes to their line for Spring!  Here are a few of my favorites.  They are to.die.for.

Gemvara: Customize your Baubles!

What girl doesn't love jewelry?  And what girl doesn't love jewelry she can customize to her exact liking? I was introduced to Gemvara about a year ago and have been obsessed with this brand ever since!  You can literally (no, seriously) customize everything on their site.  From the type of metal used to the stones placed in your setting.  Everything is up to you - you get to be the designer.  It's a one of a kind, unique piece of jewelry.

I had the opportunity to meet up with Callie and Carrie before their Lunch last week to check out some of their pieces.  And the are just the sweetest ladies!!  I has such a great time getting to meet them.  We spent several hours and a few glasses of wine chatting about jewelry.  It was a perfect end to a crazy day.

So let's talk customizing, shall we?  Below are a few of my favorite pieces from their collection.  Each and every one of these beauties can be customized to your liking.  The metal can be changed to palladium, rose gold or white gold.  You can change the stones to emerald (my favorite), white sapphire, aquamarine, or citrine - the list goes on, ladies!  Some of these are great gifts, and others are perfect alternatives to the typical engagement ring and wedding band.  I wish I had taken a pic of Callie's engagement ring. It is TO.DIE.FOR. Unique, gorgeous, and just all around amazing!

Ok, I have blabbed on and on about how amazing and wonderful Gemvara is, now its time for you to go see for yourself! I can't promise you won't spend several hours playing around with all the options for each piece.
It is slightly addicting.

Do you own any Gemvara pieces? I would love to hear about them or see pics! xx
I especially love this ring because it's great to wear alone or stacked with other rings.

 Hopscotch Eternity Band
If you want a unique wedding band or anniversary gift, THIS is your ring.  I cannot stop staring at this gem! You can choose all one stone, or opt for two, with the larger stones being one gemstone and the smaller ones another.

 Natalie Ring
Now if this isn't a statement ring! You have the choice of three different stones for this ring. I personally like the two, but if you want something that will stand out and is 100% you, make this beauty exactly how you want it!

 Belle Earrings
I am slightly obsessed with Citrine at the moment.  These earrings are just gorgeous.  The three gemstones can also be customized as all the same or different.

 Pure Cushion Triple Earrings
I love big stone earrings.  These have caught my eye every time I check out the website.  Great for unique bridal earrings, or a formal event.

How sweet is this bow necklace? I love how dainty and small it is.  This is great for layering with other necklaces, or you can wear alone.

I love this necklace.  You can change the stone to your husband, child's or even dogs birthstone!

This is the perfect tennis bracelet.  Pick one stone or alternate with two.  I personally like the white and blue sapphire option.
